SEE HOW WE BUILT AN ENTIRE STORE IN JUST 23 DAYS!!!
CITY GEAR MAIRACLE!!!
City Gear’s parent company had promised a specific number of new store openings to its parent company’s shareholders. One of those stores, located in Aiken, SC, encountered a serious design flaw during construction, resulting in a six-week delay.
This setback jeopardized the company’s ability to meet its shareholder commitments for that fiscal year.
To protect their opening count, City Gear turned to another upcoming location in Douglasville, GA. But there was a problem: construction hadn’t even started. The site had just finished demolition and was eight weeks away from its original schedule.
City Gear needed either the Aiken or the Douglasville store open by the same date originally planned for Aiken. They didn’t need a miracle—they needed a GC who could face the reality, move fast, and get it done.
We never promised the date was possible. We promised we’d give it everything we had.
We mobilized immediately. Our team worked 12 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, to turn a warm shell into a fully operational retail store.
To accomplish this, we:
– Coordinated multiple trades in overlapping shifts
– Secured expedited inspections and materials
– Maintained clean communication with the client throughout
The store opened on the exact date requested.
23 days from the beginning of construction to the first sale.
Instead of 8 weeks.
City Gear was able to fulfill its commitment to shareholders. Their Douglasville store opened when asked, though in this case that date was never guaranteed.
We didn’t just complete a project. We helped our client keep a corporate promise.
– Schedule-Driven Mindset: We treat dates like deadlines, not suggestions.
– Field Leadership: Senior management monitored daily progress.
– Experience: With over 18 years in commercial interiors, we know how to adapt fast.
When timing is critical, you need a GC who delivers without excuses.
Let’s talk about your next project.
