CPEX was asked to create something out of nothing!  A large REIT asked CPEX to construct a new retail suite from a space that was vacated by a major anchor.  The vacated space was a commercial cold dark shell with no front door and a block wall where a storefront should have been.

Construction began by shoring up the existing block wall as we cut a pair of 16’ long, 10’ high openings in the block wall.

Next, a pair of steal beams were installed across the openings to support the masonry wall above.

With the wall well supported, we then extended the parapet wall up eight feet to create a new sign field for the incoming merchant.

At the back of the space, a ten by eight foot opening was cut in the exterior wall to receive a new overhead door.

While all this was going on outside, the new interior construction was going on inside.

The finished product looks great and was completed ahead of schedule!!
